This past Sunday I was given the honor to speak at NewSong Church (www.newsong.net) in Irvine California. For some believers today they would not believe that God’s presence and power could likely show up in a place like Orange County Ca, but this last Sunday many experienced the presence of God and came into a full on encounter with the power of the Holy Spirit!
Cultivating the Knowledge of God: 5 Conditions

Proverbs 2:1-5 gives us five conditions that, if followed, promise to yield the fruit of the knowledge of God.
First, we receive God’s words. We set our hearts to walk in full obedience to Him. We seek to obey the voice of the Holy Spirit, for He is the one who reveals Jesus to us. We submit to His leadership in our lives.
Secondly, we treasure God’s commands. We do this by filling our minds with His words. We set aside time to meditate on His truth. We turn the Scripture into dialogue with Jesus so that we talk to Him as we read.
The third condition is to incline our ears to wisdom. We humbly open our hearts to have a teachable spirit and to learn from the Word instead of resisting its meaning. We lay down our biases to what we want Scripture to mean, and we accept it for its true meaning.
Fourthly, we cry out for understanding. We ask God for more revelation. We pause to ask Him for insight concerning His Word. If we ask Him, He will always give us more.
A quick vblog #4 about how our passions are keenly linked to our calling– “be yourself.” I can’t stress the importance of a daily walk with God to hear His calling for you.

As many of you know Euna Lee and Laura Ling were sentenced by the North Korean government on June 8, 2009 to 12 years of hard labor. The two journalists were captured and detained in North Korea on March 17, 2009.
The details of their capture and trial can be read in numerous articles and websites. The purpose of this blog is to ask all of you to join together on July 17th at 8:00pm PST to say in unison a meaningful and heartfelt prayer written by Jaeson Ma especially for this event.
We realize that many of you are already praying for these two brave women and are grateful. We believe a worldwide prayer being said at the same time will bring overwhelming strength and courage to Laura Ling, Euna Lee and their families, and clarity to the North Korean and United States governments to resolve this situation quickly to bring the woman home safely.
