Jaeson: My church member told me today at church that her little boy (8?) was so moved that he teared when he heard LOVE from when I posted on my FB status. For many years, I’ve had a passion to make rap music. I started rapping in freestyle sessions and battles at the age of thirteen. I made my first underground rap tape when I was 17 years old. I started working for cultural icon and hip-hop legend MC Hammer at the age of 19. But, then I felt called in my early twenties to become a minister. I decided to go to Bible College and lay a strong spiritual foundation in my life, before pursuing a career in music and the arts. Without planning it, God led me to becoming a young preacher in my twenties to preach the Gospel on nearly every continent in the world to thousands upon thousands of young people. But, deep down in my heart, I knew I was called to rap, to make music, to fulfill a prophecy the Lord had given to me through my sister when I was 15 years old, that I would one day be used by God to pastor thousands of youth around the world, but also to be a rappers who’s music would touch the masses with God’s message. How would this happen?

大家有否察覺，我們經常會面對誘惑？很多人面對引誘時都不懂招架；作為牧師，我有時也會受到某些引誘，感覺好像與我只是一街之隔。世上沒有人可以完全不受引誘，無論你有多成功，只要一次行差踏錯，便足以毀你一生。就像「世紀大騙案」被揭發之前，有誰會想過本身已有權有勢的前納斯達克主席馬多夫（Bernard L. Madoff），竟是五百億騙案的幕後黑手？又例如在美國享負盛名的「美國福音派聯盟」前會長賀格德牧師（Ted Haggard），就是受不住誘惑，墮入同性戀兼召男妓的醜聞當中。再回想前美國總統克林頓（Bill Clinton）的婚外情，又或者奧運游泳金牌選手菲比斯（Michael Phelps）被揭食大麻，這些人就是不懂如何面對引誘而做錯事的好例子。
無論是牧師、高官、運動員，甚麼身份也好，我們都只是凡人，凡人自然有錯、有邪念，這點是無可否認的；我們潛伏着邪念，某程度上是因內心有不足之感，例如男人背着妻子去搞婚外情，原因是不滿足於自己的婚姻；就算做到CEO，都可以不滿意自己的薪酬而去貪污詐騙；神職人員亦有因壓力而有飲酒、看色情電影等壞習慣，女性有時亦會因自憐自怨而暴食、狂購物去發洩。我說這麼多，無非都是想帶出一點，就是每個人都總有弱點，總有機會受到引誘。年輕時的我，受毒品引誘，就算做了牧師，我都會受到妒嫉、驕傲、貪婪或性方面的誘惑，今時今日一上網便可看到色情電影、相片，要不受這些東西試探，實在不容易。
究竟我們能夠怎樣面對誘惑？我從經驗中學到幾點：
1. 主導思想——要控制自己的思想，不要受制於它，因為一切邪惡的舉動都是沿自思想，故我們不要被這些思想奴役自己。
2. 把誘惑交給神——多祈禱，把這些思想交給神，求祂去除這些不該的思想。
3. 對自己負責——學習對自己負責有謂「兩個人總比一個好」，將自己心事與家人、朋友分享，大家可互相鼓勵監察，互相支持去對抗誘惑。
4. 幫助別人——不要批評那些因抵受不了試探而犯錯的人，因我們自己都有弱點，我們都會犯錯，人與人之間應互相幫助，盡一分力把你身邊那些曾經被引誘做壞事的人帶回入正途，那我們的社會便能更健康。
East Week #18 ~ “How to Fight Temptations”
We are constantly bombarded with negative thoughts, feelings and the temptation to do wrong. For many of us, we don’t know how to fight off the temptations that we face on a daily basis. I know for myself, temptations are always one step around the corner from me. No one in this world is void of temptation, but it something we all face and must learn to overcome.
I’ve been doing this Vblog (video blog) for a couple months now and I’ve received a lot of great questions from readers and watchers. I’ve been trying my best to respond to most of them! The latest video addresses the question: How do you deal and respond to criticism towards you, your ministry, and theology?
