BEING THERE FOR OTHERS :)
I have a friend named Sam Kim that I have been a big brother to and friend for a few years now. What I love about Sam is his passion for Jesus, his passion for helping others and his earnest desire to always want to do God’s will. Every now and then he will call me up to catch up and ask for advice. It’s always great to hear how he is doing personally and also in his career hopes and ambitions.
I had lunch with Sam recently and he was sharing with me his life challenges and also his future aspirations. As sort of a mentor to him, I find it a great honor that he would even come to me to seek advice and prayer. What is cool is that I get to listen to his life, watch his personal and spiritual growth and just be his cheerleader! Every time we meet I do my best to help him in any way that I can. Whether that would be giving him life advice or connecting him with people or resources I have that can help him along the journey to his intended destination.
Tonight 365 days of love goes to Taiwan, I am leaving for Taipei Taiwan for a critical gathering called “Kingdom Culture.” It will be hosted by our Asia for Jesus ministry and I am SERIOUSLY EXCITED about what the Holy Spirit is about to do at this major national awakening! I will need your daily prayers as I will speak at the conference once and then speak at four services at my beloved Bread of Life Taipei Church youth church. I will be in Taiwan from Feb 2-7. Each day I will still blog on 365 days of love, but I will be doing acts of love in Taiwan! It should be amazing and interesting… so stay tuned cause I’m expecting miracles to happen daily on this mission. Please pray for me and all the other ministers below…
Taiwan “Kingdom Culture” Conference – At the Asia for Jesus “Kingdom Culture” conference I will be speaking along side Bill Johnson, Heidi Baker, Philip Mantofa and the Joshua Worship ministry team. I believe God will shake not only the city, but the nation of Taiwan through this massive revival event. The conference is sold out with 4,500 registered in the day time and expecting over 15,000 in the evening for the miracle crusades. Heaven will invade Taiwan this coming week from Feb 2-7.
This past week has been a tough one for me. I won’t get into details, but I just got overwhelmed with a lot of work at the office, on top of that I have had to handle a lot of interpersonal relationships as a pastor, as well some personal challenges. When it all hit me at once, I realized I failed to find complete peace and trust in God, but rather I acted out my frustration in unloving ways. One of those being becoming cranky at work and putting unreal expectations upon those that work under my leadership…
Today, I had to personally humble myself and ask my co-worker who works for me for her deep forgiveness.
I told her, “I’m really sorry for being cranky and acting out of my frustration this past week. I’ve had a lot going on, and a lot of pressure, but it doesn’t give me the right to treat you the way I have. Please forgive me.”
She was gracious enough to forgive me and told me she understood that I’ve been going through a lot. I was really grateful for her act of love towards me. I might be her boss, but that doesn’t give me any right to demand, take out my frustration or have a bad attitude.

One of the most fun things I get to do as a pastor is pray for people (haha last night I was at a late night party in downtown LA and I think I prayed for at least half a dozen people at the party) anyways, many times people I meet will always ask me to come and pray for them. I think most people in this world believe in the power of prayer. I’ve seen so many miracles of love happen because of prayer to literally thousands of people around the world in my travels.

JANE & JAE :) JANE OH ROCKS!
Today, I had the awesome privilege of answering a friends request to pray for her new fashion line. Her name is Jane Oh, geez Jane is just the sweetest, cutest, unique, strong, inventive, creative and cool people you will ever meet! I bumped into Jane at a party almost a year ago, and we kept bumping into each other at random events in LA. She knew I was a pastor so she asked me, “Hey, could you come to my office and pray for fashion company some time when you are free?” Finally, this week I was able to take some time out from work (I am a bi-vocational pastor meaning I work during the day at a regular job and I pastor also) to go pray for her office.

CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM BAR LOVE :)
This may not seem like a super act of love, but to me it is.. because it’s ice cream! So the night before I was walking out late night from the office and me and my co-worker Jenny (who is new to our office) were talking. She told me she loves Chocolate ice cream, so I told her I’d try to bring her some at the office sometime. She laughed and said that would be great!
haha, I don’t think she actually expected it… but today I surprised her with a chocolate Haagen Daz ice cream bar from behind while she was busy working in front of her computer. She was shocked when I gave it to her and said, “OMG, I didn’t think you would actually get me chocolate ice cream!” She laughed, we both smiled and talked about how much we love ice cream and how it can totally just make our day :D… it did! It was my way of welcoming her to the office and company… sometimes when you are new to a job or community it’s always nice to be welcomed with some ice cream love!

Almost everyone is joining the twitter revolution. If you are in Hong Kong/ASIA reading this article you may be wondering what this twitter business is all about? In the US and other parts of the world everyone now a days seems to be “tweeting” including myself. Twitter is basically a social networking platform that asks you one question, “What are you doing?” and you must answer it in less than 140 words. You then “tweet” what you are doing and everyone online that is following what you are doing… will now know what you are doing, what you are thinking about, what you may be feeling or who you may be talking to at the moment through twitter. It’s fun. It’s genius. It’s a new way of communication!
I started using twitter one year ago when it was introduced to me by my long time mentor MC Hammer. Many people don’t know that MC Hammer is

PICKING UP CANS & RECYCLABLES WITH AN ELDERLY LOVELY WOMAN :)
Today, I went to go to my friends home studio to record some voice overs for our new film “1040″. Afterwards we went to go get some food to eat. When we got back and parked, he looked up and said, “Hey, there is the elderly Asian woman picking up cans above the hill… it would be nice if someone could help her.” So I did :)
I got out of the car and ran up the hill. I found the elderly Asian woman and figured she couldn’t speak english. So I said hello to her in Chinese. She responded back in Chinese! Her dialect was a bit different than mine, but we could somehow understand each other on a basic level. I started picking up cans with her and she the whole time we were interacting she kept saying in English…
“THANK YOU! THANK YOU! … THANK YOU! THANK YOU!”

SIMPLE CHURCH ON THE LAWN IN VENICE
Today was REALLY cool. We started a simple church in Venice, Ca by the beach. Some of you may not know what I mean by a simple church, but basically it’s basically church done anywhere, anytime, with anyone who wants to follow and obey Jesus. I’ve been a pastor for nearly 10 years and we’ve started hundreds of simple churches like these in homes, apartments, parks, coffee shops, front lawns, backyards, offices, basically anywhere people can meet. Church isn’t about a building, its about people. It’s not about religion, it’s about relationships. Normally, when we have a simple church gathering we do four things… we eat, we study the Bible, we pray and we have fun (Eat, Bible, Pray, Fun… simple right?) Church shouldn’t be complicated, it should be so simple that anyone can experience and anyone can do it and pass on the blessing :)
So here is the weekly 365 DAYS OF LOVE TV EPISODE (I will post 1 video a week on Monday fyi of what happened during the past week)… I chose this week to show what happened when I babysat Baby Super Cute Aiden!! I think you will get a good laugh and feel some good loving off of this new TV episode of 365 Days of LOVE. Baby sitting a baby is not as easy as you think!
Spread the video and post it on your facebook pages and other social media. Also, post up your own videos or stories on my blog of what you did to love somebody and maybe I’ll post it too! Let’s inspire others to do more acts of love everywhere…
Also, really consider helping a single mom out there that you know by simply asking them, “How can I serve you?” whether that is baby sitting their children, helping them around the house, offering a service, or just cooking them a meal there are plenty of things we can do to help out the lives of single mothers who so courageously live life so selflessly and sacrificially. Spread the LOVE!

PRAY FOR STRUGGLING FAMILIES ON THE STREETS
I was driving through Skid Row today and thought about all the single mothers on the streets trying to survive with children… my heart broke. There wasn’t much I could do immediately, but one thing I do know is that many of those homeless or in shelters need “warm socks” in the cold weather. Many times when I talk with those homeless on the streets of Skid Row or elsewhere they tell me that one of their major needs is clean and warm socks.

GOT THE THICKEST PAIR OF SOCKS I COULD FIND!
So I got the THICKEST pair of socks I could find and gave them to a single mother with children in front of a shelter on Skid Row. It was cool when I gave her the warm pair of socks she said thank you, then she kept pulling them out to look at and told her friends around her “WOW!” …. I never thought a pair of socks could make someone go “wow” but I guess now we understand how much more we need to appreciate the blessings that we have. We take for granted so many times the clothes we wear, the food we have to eat, the home we get to sleep in and don’t realize that everything we are given is a gift from God… We should never complain about anything because there is always someone in this world who has it worst. Me giving socks to a mom on the streets isn’t much, but it’s something and I hope it keeps her that much warmer through the cold nights.
