SOLDIERS OF LIGHT! ME & PROFESSOR JASPER!
Sometimes I like to say, “GOD OR ODD?” Meaning, that was either destiny or coincidence. Well, on my flight over from Los Angeles to Taiwan I was waiting in line at the airport. I woman chases me down and yells out my name “Jaeson Ma! Jaeson Ma!” She apparently recognized me as a pastor. She told me she has heard me preach and then said, “My dad just became a born again believer and I think he may be on your flight!”
We met, shook hands and I told him to come hear me speak at the Kingdom Culture conference in Taiwan and gave him my number. From there we got on the plane and I didn’t know where he ended up sitting. Turns out once we land, he gets up from the seat in front of me (he was one row ahead of me the whole time) and we greet one another. I tell him, “Hey, if you need a ride home to Taipei city I’m sure my friends can give you a ride.” Turns out he did need a ride and I was able to save him a taxi fare.
Interesting thing is he “Jasper” is his name, turns out to be a professor of journalism at a top university in Taiwan. He’s been teaching for over 30 years… I didn’t think this was by accident because my topic of speech at the Kingdom Culture conference is about the importance and impact of Media and Entertainment in our society. I shared with him that I believe it wasn’t by accident we met, that God had a great destiny for him to train young journalists to report positive and good media, he agreed and we prayed together. I dropped him off at his house & he’ll be coming to hear me speak tomorrow! GO JASPER!… you just never know who you will meet on a plane?

YES. “GOD OR ODD?” is definitely the truth. Today the acts of love I did was to have one team of 1-to-1 Bible study with a sophomore student, copied some good message of Genesis for one of my coworkers, and introduced God’s Almighty to a Korean friend who is reluctant to turn to God even though he can feel God’s presence. He said he almost went crazy recently. I talked a lot and prayed for him but he hasn’t get ready to accept God’s blessing yet. But what makes today so special for me are what God enlightened me through some ‘coincidence’.
Finishing my early morning class at 8:30 am, I went back home and passed a newly opened butcher shop. Since it was the first day for them to open up, they sold at a deep discount but a limit on amount per person can buy. When I passed by, over 40 mid-aged women were lining up outside of the butcher’s to wait for their good luck. All of a sudden a thought came to me. The big sale in this shop is good news for those women, who handle the daily life and know well about the value of this sale even actually it doesn’t affect their daily lives at all. And maybe they got to know this news by being told by their friends, and their friends were also eager to share it with them. In my hometown, this is the regular custom for my mother and her friends. Wow! People help people, awesome!:D~ Then I came to think what if the best salvation news through Jesus can be so valuably cherished and be spread like this, how terrific it would be! Mid-aged women indeed have incredible power, sometimes maybe more powerful than media, aren’t they? ^ ^. ~ In the history of God, campus students are important, celebrities and artists in the field of Media and Entertainment too, mid-aged women too.^ ^ everyone needs gospel, and everyone can be a preacher or righteous role model.! ?~~
Another enlightenment I got today was through the mouth of my nephew. He is just 7 years old but is the cutest and smartest boy I have met. When I was waiting online for the student to have 1-to-1 Bible study, I encountered my only sister online and got 10 minutes to talk with her. My nephew was so eager to talk with me and he grabbed the earphone, “Auntie, when will you get married? Because when you get married, I can see you again. I miss you so much….” I answered, “So you have to pray for your auntie more diligently. Will you do that for me?” “Of course. I love you auntie.” Then my elder sister took the earphone and told me something what my nephew said the other day. “Mom, is that true auntie will find a good husband?” “Sure, definitely!” “Then Why Auntie’s elder sister didn’t???-_-;” I burst into laughter. Hey~wow~, my dearest nephew, you are really a genius! You referred you father as a not-good-enough husband (btw, my sister-in-law hasn’t accepted Jesus yet). So even a boy of seven years old has the insight that a worldly man can not be a good husband for his wife, it reminds me of the God’s blessings again. Although my late-to-come marriage has driven my parents to crazy, I am so thankful for God’s good will to train me until I can be a more suitable helper for my husband-to-be. Even though until today I still don’t know when and whom He has prepared for me, I know He has prepared everything absolutely. He loves me so much^ ^+ Sometimes children’s insights are better than adults’!? :D
What I experienced today is amazing, isn’t it? ^ ^+
As God always enlightens me at times, Jaeson Ma’s beautiful thoughts on love also make me actually feel enlightened every day. Thanks again~+.+!!ha.
