This week, I had the privilege of speaking at the Festival of God’s Power Conference in Taiwan as well as several other churches. It was an amazing time and I am always encouraged and blown away by Taiwan’s passion for Jesus Christ. I wanted to do something special for 365 Days of Love, so I asked a friend for some ideas on how we could serve Taiwan. She suggested handing out red envelopes for Chinese New Year with candy and an encouraging note at the nightmarket. The nightmarkets in Taiwan are popular open-air gathering places where a lot of street vendors sell amazing food and drink. I loved that idea! But then it struck me… PANDA LOVE.
I never grew up with hugs myself, but I realized how important hugs are ever since God began to show me how powerful a loving hug can be. Now I hug everyone I meet and I love to let other people hug me… I know that in the Asian culture, its very common to have love shown in a different way than a hug. Many of the people walking the streets in Taiwan may have never experienced a hug full of LOVE– But today all of that would change. They would get a hug… from a PANDA.

Recently, in the last years there has been major problems with drug addictions, alcohol, violence and sexual immorality to the point city officials don’t know what to do in Hong Kong. We are holding this event to proclaim a message of freedom in Jesus Christ to set the many youth in Hong Kong free from these destructive addictions. My “Soldiers of Light” Jin, Van Ness, Sean, Sherman, Siwon and others will be not only performing, but sharing personal testimonies of how God has changed their lives for the better. I KNOW this is going to be more than an event, or concert, it’s going to be a straight on ENCOUNTER WITH GOD and HIS ANGELS setting every young person in that place free from darkness by the power of His LIGHT!!!
A year ago we had a revival conference in Taiwan called the “Festival of God’s Power”. There I did a workshop on divine healing. The night before the workshop, the Holy Spirit told me that in my workshop the next day there would be a woman about 50-year-old who had one leg shorter than the other and a ruptured disc in her back/spine. I was to call her out of the crowd and pray for her healing. I had no idea honestly what would happen, but I knew I had to obey by faith. The next day, I gave the word of knowledge during my healing session with about 1,500 in the training… When I gave the word of knowledge of a 50-year-old woman with one leg shorter than the other and a ruptured disc, low and behold, this 50-year-old woman w/ everything I named came straggling slowly to the front of the stage…
WHAT MAKES MINISTRY FULFILLING IS NOT JUST THE IMPACT OF LIVES BEING CHANGED. BUT MORE SO, WHAT MAKES MINISTRY AND SERVING GOD A JOY IS THE RELATIONSHIPS THAT IT BRINGS. IF I DIDN’T HAVE MY SPIRITUAL FAMILY & FRIENDS TO SERVE “WITH” … EVERYTHING I DID WOULD BE EMPTY. CHRISTIANITY IS ABOUT “RELATIONSHIPS” ITS NOT JUST ABOUT SERVING GOD, ITS ABOUT SERVING WITH GOD AND WALKING WITH THOSE HE HAS BROUGHT YOU INTO RELATIONSHIP WITH TO SERVE HIS PURPOSES. LIFE IS MEANINGFUL WHEN WE HAVE TRUE FRIENDS THAT LOVE US FOR WHO WE ARE, NOT WHAT WE CAN DO. I FIND IT A GREAT HONOR TO HAVE SERVED IN INDONESIA AT THE “ARMY OF GOD” AND “ASIA FOR JESUS” CONFERENCE WITH MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS BELOW…. BEHIND ALL THE MINISTRY ACTION, WE HAD SOME GOOD TIMES EATING, GOOFING AROUND AND ENJOYING EACH OTHER’S PRESENCE…GOD IS GREAT!
