One year ago, I held a private church service for artists and entertainers in Hong Kong. I had no idea who would come to this special event to hear me preach about God’s great love. To my surprise, Hong Kong pop diva “Sammi Chang” walked through the doors and she sat down in the midst of a few hundred other artists and entertainers. Someone said to me, “Hey that is Sammi Chang!”…. Cordially, but excitedly I went up to her to shake her hand & I thought to myself, “Wow, she is so cool!” But Sammi Chang is more than “cool” she is a person of deep “love.”
After that first encounter we were able to become good friends and a spiritual support to one another in regards to our faith. She is my sister in Christ and the more I have come to know her, the more I respect her not only as a amazing artist, but as a wonderful human being. There are very few people that
I expect miracles every day of my life. Some people don’t believe in miracles, but I believe that miracles are happening all the time if we will only pay attention. EAST WEEK #19 ~ “I LOVE MOM”
Some weeks ago, it was mother’s day and I had the chance to go back home and visit my beloved mom. I can never thank God enough for giving me the best mom in the world! Of course, everyone has the right to call their mom, the best mom on the planet, because all mothers deserve to have that title with all that they do for us.
Where would each of us be without our mom? The world would be lost without mothers who take care of us, love us and make us who we are. I think many times, we don’t appreciate our mother’s for all that they are and do for us. For me, I feel so ashamed thinking back to when I was a teenager and how I rebelled against my mother. I used to make my mother cry almost every day because of my bad behavior. She gave me advice, but I didn’t listen. She served me sacrificially, but I didn’t appreciate it. She prayed for me daily, but I only ignored her more. It was my pride that didn’t allow me to listen and learn from her.
My brother Jin came out with this youtube testimony about his personal faith. All I have to say is, I’m proud of you brother for having the humility, honesty, love and courage to share your experience and relationship with God. I stand with you my man, let’s keep spreading light in the darkness, cause it’s not about us, it’s about Him. JIN FOR THE WIN!!! SUPPORT BROS AND SIS! SOL!!!!
Jin also made this new track “Welcome to the Light Club” … I wouldn’t label him a Christian rapper, he is simply a follower of Christ, who speaks from his heart and stays true to his passion. Respect that. Music is not Christian nor is it secular, music is music, Bethoven composed all of his masterpieces to be songs played unto God, yet we call his songs “classics” … “works of art”… “masterpieces” why? Because true music is only a “piece” given from the “Master” expressed through us to be played back to Him… it’s time for a new renaissance of music in our generation. Let’s make God beautiful again… we have no need to hide God in our art, they didn’t back then, why should we now, art is from God, music is from God, so lets create for the Creator and bring heaven a little closer to earth… music came from heaven … so if we make music… let it be LIGHT not darkness. Time to Shine Soldiers! SOL!!! (SOLDIERS OF LIGHT!!) LETS GO4GOD!
