There’s an article I just got word of on www.allkpop.com a popular Korean Pop Culture site about me and my fellow soldier of light… Siwon Choi (Super Junior) read here. Just fyi I have been mentoring and ministering to Korean pop artists & media executives in that industry for the last past year. I can’t necessarily get into details, but I realized that God had called me into this movement about a year ago ever since there was a rise of celebrity suicides in 2008.
I will share the entire encounter some other time of how God sent me into Korea pop culture to spread His love and light to those in this influential industry. For those of you who do not follow KPOP culture… it is quite an amazing phenomenon. I call Seoul, Korea the new Hollywood of Asia in this decade… in the 80’s you had Hong Kong canto pop culture, in the 90’s you had JPOP or Japanese Pop culture arise, but in the millennium… most definitely Korean Pop Culture has taken center stage in influencing popular youth culture across Asia. From Korean Dramas (those ones that your mom and sisters are addicted to and cry daily from watching) to KPOP music which in my opinion is the most progressive and of excellence in production. But what is most fascinating is the die hard fan following phenomenon of Koreans that I have witnessed. The FANS ARE CRAZY… I mean they really worship and idolize celebrities and artists to a whole new level… they follow on twitter, they buy tickets months in advance, they vote, follow, emulate and support their every move, action and lifestyle…

MC Hammer’s former right-hand man, Chinese-American Jaeson Ma, has become what has to to be the world’s most prominent Asian hip-hop pastor, travelling the globe and spreading the Christian word of God through music. His upcoming documentary, “1040,” explores the key role he believes Asia will play during the End Times.
Ma’s blog says, “The current global shifts (are) not only politically, economically, militaristically, but also spiritually in the Far East … Asia is the future and we must understand it’s leadership in God’s ultimate plan to bring the nations to His glory. Currently, Asia is experiencing the fastest growing movement of Christian expansion historically with over 40,000 people coming to Christ in East Asia mainland daily, the largest churches in the world residing in South Korea, the largest Muslim nation Indonesia is now possibly over 20% Christian.” [sic]
Meaning: the Messiah might just show up in Hong Kong. (Start thinking about what you’ll be wearing now!)

For many years, I’ve had a passion to make rap music. I started rapping in freestyle sessions and battles at the age of thirteen. I made my first underground rap tape when I was 17 years old. I started working for cultural icon and hip-hop legend MC Hammer at the age of 19. But, then I felt called in my early twenties to become a minister. I decided to go to Bible College and lay a strong spiritual foundation in my life, before pursuing a career in music and the arts. Without planning it, God led me to becoming a young preacher in my twenties to preach the Gospel on nearly every continent in the world to thousands upon thousands of young people. But, deep down in my heart, I knew I was called to rap, to make music, to fulfill a prophecy the Lord had given to me through my sister when I was 15 years old, that I would one day be used by God to pastor thousands of youth around the world, but also to be a rappers who’s music would touch the masses with God’s message. How would this happen?
I’ve been doing this Vblog (video blog) for a couple months now and I’ve received a lot of great questions from readers and watchers. I’ve been trying my best to respond to most of them! The latest video addresses the question: How do you deal and respond to criticism towards you, your ministry, and theology?

上星期，我看了一套有關前重量級拳手泰臣的紀錄片，眾所周知，泰臣來自美國紐約西邊的工業區布魯克林裏的一個破碎家庭，他十多歲時開始學習拳擊，那個自小便開始操練泰臣的教練，最終引導他踏上奧運金牌拳手之路。還不過二十多歲，泰臣已經橫掃多個重量級冠軍拳手的寶座，曾經呼風喚雨的他，在最富有的時候把妻子拋棄，自此其生活愈見墮落，還一度被控強姦罪。
對很多拳賽支持者而言，中後期的泰臣已經今非昔比，其所做的狂妄行為，辜負了不少擁護者對他的支持，尤其是當他在擂台上咬爆對手Evander Holyfield（伊萬德．霍利菲爾德）的耳仔那一刻，所有人都覺得泰臣邪惡不堪。但對我而言，其實他與我們沒有分別。
我喜歡這套紀錄片的原因，是因為泰臣在片中毫無保留地在鏡頭前分享了他一直以來埋在心底裏的恐懼、弱點、失敗；他坦白地告訴大家，原來小時候的他很肥、很反叛，經常進出兒童院，因為他自卑，故用打架去表現自己。當泰臣的家人都放棄他之際，一位在貧民區專訓練反叛青年以拳擊發洩過盛的精力、來減少他們在街上撩是鬥非的教練，卻看中泰臣力大過人的特點，把他收養之餘，更教他拳擊，好讓他有所為而不再犯事。
泰臣最終的確成為了世界一級拳手，但名利令他迷失，當他視為最親的教練去世後，泰臣便開始迷失，吸毒、酗酒、沉迷色慾，生活變得放蕩荒唐。我說泰臣像我們一樣，不是指他的所作所為，而是他跟我們任何一個都一樣錯過，我們總會為做錯的事找解釋，我們怕失去，怕無助，恐懼是我們的敵人，就像重量級拳手都有恐懼，可想而知它的殺傷力。
我佩服泰臣是因為他沒有掩飾自己的恐懼，他錯了後醒覺，知道要面對恐懼而不是逃避；沒有人是完美，你不想受審判的話，便不要去審判別人；人家怎樣看你不要緊，最重要是你怎樣看你自己，有錯便要認，然後勇敢去面對，不要給自己藉口去繼續用錯誤的方法逃避，把自己的恐懼帶出黑暗面向光明。
是男是女都好，生活不是要讓人家看到你花枝招展，還是擁有四十吋胸肌，我們生活，是要誠實去面對自己的短處，然後去接受去改進；泰臣雖然有重量級拳手的身形，但他也不過是常人，而不是超人。泰臣選擇面對自己的恐懼，最後用信念把它擊倒，你又會如何選擇呢？

This past week I was able to watch a very compelling and amazing documentary film called “TYSON.” I would highly recommend for you to watch this movie when it comes out in theaters or when it is available on DVD.
